Our nurses are fully trained to provide a wide range of services including monitoring of and advice on asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease and declining kidney function. They can give advice on many health promotion topics like cholesterol, smoking cessation and weight management. They can also take cervical smears and can advise on women’s health.
The practice manager oversees the general day to day running of the practice. If you have any queries or need advice on how to access our services please contact her directly on 028 90563595.
The administrators have a busy and challenging job and have to deal with many different requests. Please help them by giving clear details and as much information as possible, as this is very helpful to the doctor. Please note this information is taken in the strictest confidence.
The practice is assigned a team of District Nurses and Health Care Assistants to carry out monitoring of our patients who are housebound, very elderly and frail, receiving chemotherapy or terminally ill. This service is under extreme pressure and it is important that it is used correctly; therefore patients who are able to come to the surgery for blood tests and monitoring will be expected to do so.
Our health visitor is qualified in nursing and midwifery and is specially trained to give health advice on matters relating to family and child health. She is available on a Wednesday morning at the surgery from 09:30 (walk in clinic). She may also be contacted on 028 90563300. Please note if your baby is unwell please contact the reception desk for an emergency appointment.
